TUNIS — Tunisia has unveiled a new strategic roadmap aimed at strengthening its position in artificial intelligence and advanced technology by 2030.

The roadmap, presented by the Association of Tunisians from Top Schools, outlines priorities for developing AI talent, expanding research and innovation, supporting startups, improving digital infrastructure, and strengthening cooperation between universities, businesses, and public institutions.

Technology experts say the strategy could help Tunisia move from being primarily a technology-services market toward a stronger innovation and AI development hub. Greater investment in skills, research, and entrepreneurship is expected to create new opportunities for startups and technology professionals.

The roadmap also highlights the importance of developing responsible and secure artificial intelligence while encouraging stronger links between academic research and commercial applications.

Industry observers say Tunisia’s growing technology ecosystem could benefit from better coordination between government agencies, investors, universities, and the private sector.
