Guinea has signed three loan agreements worth €269.5 million with the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID), securing financing for projects in healthcare, transport and energy.
The agreements were signed in Conakry on 10 September 2026 by EBID President George Agyekum Donkor and Guinea’s Economy, Finance and Budget Minister Mariama Ciré Sylla, with senior government officials present.
The largest allocation, €143.05 million, is for construction and paving of the 84-kilometre Cissela–Banko–N’Dèma and Banko–Saraya road sections. Another €65.8 million will support construction of the Siguiri Regional Hospital, while €60.6 million is earmarked for the Tinkisso 2 Hydropower Project.
The financing package covers three sectors central to public infrastructure and services. The announcement outlines the intended use of the loans, while project schedules and implementation milestones will determine when the investments translate into completed infrastructure.
