KHARTOUM — Sudan has strengthened economic cooperation with India after the Sudanese government and the Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry signed Memorandums of Understanding worth Rs 482 crore.

The agreements mark a significant expansion of commercial ties between Sudan and Rajasthan and are expected to create new opportunities for investment and business cooperation across multiple sectors.

The new agreements could support cooperation in areas including agriculture, mining, textiles, healthcare, manufacturing, and trade services. Business partnerships between Sudanese and Indian companies could also help expand market access and encourage private-sector investment.

The development comes as Sudan seeks to strengthen international economic partnerships and support business activity despite the severe challenges facing its economy.

Analysts say stronger commercial ties with Indian businesses could provide Sudan with new access to expertise, investment networks, technology, and trade opportunities.
