RABAT — Morocco has launched a major digital transformation of airport travel procedures with the introduction of 100% mobile boarding passes for passengers.

The new system allows travellers to use digital boarding passes on their mobile devices, marking a significant shift away from traditional paper-based travel documents and streamlining passenger procedures at airports across the Kingdom.

The rollout is expected to make airport travel faster, more convenient, and more digitally connected for passengers. Travellers can access their boarding information directly through mobile devices, reducing the need to print documents before reaching the airport.

The move is part of Morocco’s broader digital transformation drive, with technology increasingly being used to modernize public services, transport systems, and tourism infrastructure.

Airport technology specialists say the transition could also improve operational efficiency and support more environmentally friendly travel procedures by reducing paper use.

The nationwide mobile boarding-pass rollout strengthens Morocco’s reputation as a regional leader in digital travel innovation and modern airport services.
