LOMÉ, Togo — A Russian delegation of government officials and business representatives has visited the Adétikopé Industrial Platform (PIA) as part of discussions on expanding economic cooperation between Togo and Russia.
The delegation toured the industrial zone on September 29, 2026, during the first session of the Togo–Russia intergovernmental commission established to follow bilateral cooperation.
Representatives explored potential opportunities in construction, infrastructure, gas turbines, energy storage, liquefied natural gas (LNG), transport and logistics, as well as professional training.
PIA officials presented Togo's position as a regional logistics hub, including its deep-water port connections, dry-port facilities and services designed to facilitate business establishment.
The delegation also examined available industrial infrastructure and facilities already operating within the platform.
According to Togo's official government information, the PIA has recorded more than CFA 350 billion in investment over five years, with 25 partner companies and 12 operational industrial units. These businesses have generated 6,580 direct jobs, with 95% reportedly occupied by Togolese workers.
The visit is expected to support further discussions on potential Russian investment projects and commercial partnerships in Togo.
