Liberia is moving closer to a major expansion of its healthcare infrastructure as construction of the New Redemption Hospital reaches 92% completion.
The development, reported in Monrovia on August 17, is part of the government’s wider effort to speed up major health projects and improve access to medical services.
The new facility is expected to strengthen healthcare capacity in the Monrovia area, where demand for reliable hospital services remains high.
Completion of the hospital could provide additional capacity for patients, healthcare workers and essential medical services, while reducing pressure on existing facilities.
The government has also been reviewing health-sector projects and priorities as it works toward broader reforms, including improved healthcare financing and greater access to services across Liberia.
Officials are now focused on completing outstanding work and moving the project toward operational readiness.
The progress at New Redemption Hospital represents an important step in Liberia’s effort to strengthen its healthcare system and expand modern medical infrastructure.
