WINDHOEK — Namibia has launched a new nationwide consultation process focused on strengthening public sector governance, administrative efficiency, and institutional accountability across government departments.

The consultations bring together government representatives, regional authorities, policy specialists, civil society organisations, and community leaders to gather recommendations on improving public administration and service delivery.

Government officials say modernising governance systems remains a priority for improving institutional performance and public confidence. The discussions are expected to explore measures that streamline administrative procedures, strengthen transparency, and enhance cooperation between national and regional institutions.

Participants are also examining ways to improve citizen engagement in policy development while encouraging greater accountability in the implementation of government programmes.

Political analysts note that inclusive consultation processes can contribute to stronger institutions by ensuring reforms reflect the needs of communities and public stakeholders.
