MONROVIA — Liberia’s Ministry of Health and health partners have launched the 2026 Periodic Intensification of Routine Immunization (PIRI) campaign nationwide.

The initiative is designed to strengthen routine immunization coverage and help reach children who may have missed scheduled vaccinations, supporting Liberia’s broader efforts to protect communities from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Health officials say strengthening routine immunization remains essential for protecting children and preventing avoidable outbreaks. The campaign also highlights the importance of reaching underserved communities and maintaining public confidence in vaccination services.

The nationwide effort is expected to support health workers and local health teams in identifying gaps in immunization coverage and improving access to essential vaccines.
