ABUJA, Nigeria — Nigeria’s cultural calendar is set for a new addition as the Carnival of Stories prepares to showcase the country’s diverse heritage in Abuja from December 1 to 5, 2026.

Organised by JT Agency under the theme “This Is Nigeria: Chapter By Chapter,” the festival will explore Nigerian culture through architecture, history, art and traditional practices.

One of the planned attractions is a hand-built clay city, designed to give visitors an immersive experience while highlighting the historical use of earth as a traditional building material in different parts of Nigeria.

The festival is expected to create a platform for cultural storytelling while bringing attention to Nigeria’s architectural traditions and diverse cultural identities.

Organisers say the event will provide visitors with an opportunity to experience Nigerian heritage through multiple creative forms, positioning culture and storytelling at the centre of the festival experience.

With its December programme, Carnival of Stories is set to add another major event to Nigeria’s growing cultural and creative calendar in 2026.
