Burkina Faso’s Council of Ministers has approved CFA 5.85 billion in state funding to equip the Académie technologique du Faso and newly constructed amphitheatres, according to an official government statement issued on 24 September 2026.
The investment was approved as part of the government’s special-project portfolio. The statement says the equipment is intended to help make the academy and amphitheatres operational as soon as possible. The funds will come from the 2026 state budget.
The announcement did not provide a detailed list of equipment or a completion date. It marks a new step in the government’s plan to bring the technology academy and lecture facilities into use, with implementation details still to be clarified.
The Council also approved two decrees recognising 315 people as Martyrs of the Nation and 10 as Invalids of the Nation, according to the same communiqué.
