ARDO BANKOUALÉ, Djibouti — Djibouti has launched the second edition of the Intercommunity Cultural and Sports Challenge in Ardo Bankoualé, strengthening the role of local communities in preserving cultural traditions.

The event was launched on August 14 under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Culture, according to the Djibouti News Agency.

The initiative combines cultural and sporting activities, creating a platform for community participation while encouraging young people to become more involved in local cultural life.

Beyond entertainment, the challenge provides an opportunity for communities to showcase their traditions and strengthen social connections.

The second edition highlights Djibouti’s continuing effort to use community-based cultural events to preserve heritage and encourage youth participation.

The event also adds momentum to cultural activities outside the capital, giving regional communities greater visibility in Djibouti’s national cultural landscape.
