CAIRO — Egypt’s 2026 Cairo Opera House Summer Festival is bringing a wide range of musical and cultural performances to audiences in Cairo and Alexandria during July and August.

The festival features established singers, instrumentalists, folk ensembles, jazz performers, fusion artists, and musicians presenting contemporary Egyptian repertoire at venues including the Cairo Opera House Open Air Theatre and Alexandria Opera House.

Arts professionals say the festival is helping expand access to live cultural performances during Egypt’s summer season. The programme combines traditional Arabic music with modern musical styles, creating opportunities for audiences to experience different forms of Egyptian and international artistic expression.

The festival is also expected to strengthen Cairo and Alexandria’s role as major cultural destinations while supporting musicians, performers, and Egypt’s wider creative sector.

The 2026 programme highlights the continued strength of Egypt’s live arts scene and the growing demand for accessible music and cultural events across the country.
