MONROVIA — Liberia’s telecommunications regulator has taken major action against Starcell International Liberia, revoking the company’s operating license and spectrum authorization after years of inactivity.

The Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) said the action forms part of a broader effort to enforce regulatory compliance and strengthen accountability in the telecommunications sector. Starcell had failed to commence operations after receiving its license and was also cited over outstanding financial obligations and other regulatory requirements.
