Libya’s technology sector is seeing a new AI-focused development as the National Oil Corporation (NOC) works to introduce artificial intelligence into workforce management.

The NOC’s Technical and Administrative Development Center held a specialized workshop on September 9–10 in cooperation with MetaMinds International’s Tunisia branch, focusing on practical applications of AI and advanced analytics. 

The workshop examined how AI tools can help organizations identify workforce skills needs, improve employee performance and develop smarter training strategies.

Participants also discussed predictive modelling for talent management, including ways advanced analytics could support the recruitment and deployment of skilled professionals.

The initiative forms part of the NOC’s wider efforts to strengthen digital transformation, technology skills and innovation within Libya’s oil industry. 
