MONROVIA, Liberia — Liberia has introduced two new digital platforms aimed at using technology and data to strengthen the country’s tourism industry.

The Liberia National Tourism Authority (LNTA) unveiled the Unforgettable Liberia digital platform and the MEL Data Suite during the country’s observance of World Tourism Day 2026 on September 28. The event focused on the role of digital technology and artificial intelligence in redesigning tourism.

The Unforgettable Liberia platform provides visitors with digital information about destinations, tourism experiences and tourism professionals, while also connecting travellers with tourism operators. The MEL Data Suite is designed to support monitoring, evaluation and learning, helping tourism authorities use data for planning and decision-making.

LNTA said the initiatives form part of broader efforts to improve how tourism information is collected, analysed and communicated. The platforms could give Liberia’s tourism sector a stronger digital presence while providing authorities with additional tools for planning and measuring sector performance.
