ACCRA — Ghana has officially inaugurated the Tema Integrated Industrial Park (TIIP), a landmark industrial project expected to create over 4,000 direct jobs while strengthening the country's manufacturing sector and export competitiveness.
The industrial park has been developed through collaboration between TDC Ghana Limited, the Ghana Integrated Aluminium Development Corporation, and ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms. Located near the Tema Port, the facility is designed to attract manufacturers seeking ready industrial infrastructure and efficient access to regional and international markets.
Government officials say the project will play a central role in Ghana's industrialisation agenda. The park is expected to support sectors including textiles, pharmaceuticals, automotive components, agro-processing, and value-added manufacturing, reducing dependence on imports while expanding exports.
The government also noted that the industrial zone provides litigation-free industrial land, reliable utilities, and investment-ready infrastructure, creating a more attractive environment for domestic and foreign investors.
Business analysts believe the new industrial park will strengthen supply chains, improve employment opportunities, and reinforce Ghana's position as one of West Africa's leading manufacturing and logistics destinations.
The launch of the Tema Integrated Industrial Park represents one of Ghana's most significant industrial investments, supporting long-term economic diversification, job creation, and export-led growth.
