DJIBOUTI CITY, Djibouti — Djibouti is preparing for a major milestone in its digital transformation with the country's first National Forum on Artificial Intelligence, scheduled for September 2–3.
The forum, organized by the Ministry Delegate for Digital Economy and Innovation and the General Secretariat of Government, will bring together public institutions, technology companies, startups, researchers, entrepreneurs and young innovators.
Discussions are expected to examine how artificial intelligence can support economic development, public administration, education, healthcare and employment.
Djibouti Telecom has also announced its participation as a Gold Sponsor, reinforcing the telecommunications sector's role in the country's AI and digital-transformation ambitions.
The event comes as Djibouti seeks to strengthen its position as a regional technology and connectivity hub. Recent government discussions have also explored potential investment in large-scale data centres and intelligent-computing infrastructure.
The AI forum could become an important step toward defining Djibouti's national approach to artificial intelligence and developing opportunities for its growing technology community.
