BAMAKO, Mali — Mali has reported a decline in confirmed dengue cases compared with the previous epidemiological week, according to the country’s latest government health update issued on September 30, 2026.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development presented the epidemiological situation to the Council of Ministers, noting the downward movement in confirmed dengue cases.

Despite the decrease, authorities continue to emphasize the importance of disease prevention and public-health precautions.

The government has called on the population to maintain preventive measures aimed at limiting the spread of infectious diseases, particularly during periods when mosquito-borne illnesses remain a public-health concern.

Mali’s Health Ministry is continuing to monitor the national epidemiological situation through its health surveillance system. The ministry's digital health portal also provides updates on diseases including malaria, dengue, measles, cholera and mpox.

The latest update provides a snapshot of Mali’s ongoing efforts to track dengue and strengthen disease prevention, even as reported cases move lower.
