Commercial Bank Tchad (CBT) has signed a new partnership aimed at expanding employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people in Chad.
The agreement was signed on October 20, 2026, with the organising committee of the National Employment Forum (FNE 2026). The collaboration is intended to strengthen links between the banking sector and young people seeking professional experience or looking to establish their own businesses.
Under the agreement, Commercial Bank Tchad will serve as the forum’s exclusive banking-sector partner and help mobilise job and internship opportunities for young people. The bank also plans to provide technical support to young entrepreneurs participating in the PROJIACE initiative.
The partnership reflects a broader effort to involve private-sector institutions in addressing youth unemployment and supporting the development of small businesses. For aspiring entrepreneurs, access to professional guidance and business expertise can be an important step towards turning ideas into sustainable enterprises.
However, the announcement did not specify the number of jobs or internships to be offered, nor did it provide a detailed timetable for implementation.
The next challenge will be turning the agreement into measurable opportunities for young Chadians. The results will depend on how the bank, forum organisers and participating businesses implement the initiative and connect applicants with suitable placements and entrepreneurship support.
