Organized by the Cape Verdean Association for the Promotion and Inclusion of Women with Disabilities (Apimud), the program targets 25 women in Praia and 25 in Santa Cruz, with dedicated spots for those with visual and hearing impairments to ensure broad inclusivity. Participants will receive comprehensive training in life skills, entrepreneurship, and digital literacy, followed by practical support including startup kits to help them turn their ideas into reality.

Funded by the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) with a budget of 2.15 million escudos (€19,500), the project also seeks to shift social perceptions around disability and entrepreneurship in Cabo Verde. The initiative will culminate in Cabo Verde’s first-ever entrepreneurship fair specifically for people with disabilities, providing a platform for participants to showcase their new ventures to the public and potential investors.
