ALGIERS — Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has received Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Algeria, Mokhtar Mohamed Wari, during a farewell meeting marking the end of the diplomat’s assignment in the country.
Following the meeting, Wari expressed his appreciation to President Tebboune and the Algerian people for the cooperation, goodwill and support he experienced throughout his diplomatic mission.
The ambassador said his two years in Algeria gave him an opportunity to better understand and appreciate the country, its history and its sacrifices. He also expressed pride in having served Ethiopia while stationed in Algeria.
Wari also conveyed his condolences and sympathy to people affected by recent wildfires in parts of central and eastern Algeria. He expressed his wishes for recovery to those injured in the incidents.
The farewell meeting was attended by Minister of State Ibrahim Murad, responsible for the General Inspectorate of State and Local Authorities, as well as Presidential Adviser Ammar Abba, who oversees diplomatic affairs.
The meeting highlighted the continuing diplomatic ties between Algeria and Ethiopia as the Ethiopian ambassador concludes his tenure in Algiers.
