AÏN LEUH — Morocco is preparing to host the 25th edition of the National Ahidous Festival from July 23 to 25, 2026, bringing renewed attention to one of the country’s most important Amazigh artistic traditions.

The festival, held in Aïn Leuh in Ifrane Province, will showcase traditional Ahidous performances combining music, poetry, collective dance, and cultural expression rooted in the heritage of the Middle Atlas.

Cultural authorities say the festival plays an important role in preserving Morocco’s intangible heritage and passing traditional artistic knowledge to younger generations. The event also provides a platform for artists, poets, performers, and cultural groups to present the continuing evolution of Amazigh artistic traditions.

The three-day programme is expected to attract performers and audiences from across Morocco, reinforcing the role of cultural festivals in supporting local artistic communities and promoting heritage tourism.
