Côte d’Ivoire Strengthens Investment Drive as Economy Maintains Momentum

ABIDJAN, Côte d’Ivoire — Côte d’Ivoire is reinforcing its position as a major investment destination in West Africa as the government and development partners work to improve the business environment.

The African Development Bank is supporting the launch of a One-Stop Shop for Private Investment Reporting, designed to improve the collection and monitoring of information on private investment projects in the country. The initiative is expected to strengthen economic planning and give authorities better visibility over investment activity.

Côte d’Ivoire’s broader economic outlook remains strong. Government projections put 2026 economic growth at 6.7%, while the IMF forecast stands at about 6.4%. Growth is expected to be supported by sectors including agriculture and food processing, mining, energy, construction, telecommunications and transport.

The investment push comes as Côte d’Ivoire seeks to attract more private capital into productive sectors and accelerate industrial development. The country has also secured more than $80 billion in international commitments connected to its 2026–2030 National Development Plan.

With stronger investment monitoring and continued infrastructure development, Abidjan is seeking to turn strong economic growth into wider private-sector opportunities and job creation.
