N'DJAMENA — Chad's arts community is taking part in a new cultural initiative that aims to use music and creative expression to promote peace, tolerance and social cohesion.

The “Ndou Goss Aou Bar Ci,” meaning “Let us live together in peace,” project was launched in N’Djamena and is being implemented through a wider conflict-prevention programme. The initiative will give Chadian artists opportunities to create five music videos addressing peace, dialogue, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

Organisers say the project is designed to make culture a practical tool for social transformation. By giving musicians and other creative talents a platform to address community issues, the programme aims to reach young audiences through messages that are accessible and culturally relevant.

The initiative also highlights the growing role of Chadian artists in conversations about social development, community relations and national cohesion.

Cultural observers say combining artistic production with peace-building efforts could create new opportunities for musicians while demonstrating the wider social value of Chad’s creative sector.

The project marks a new effort to use Chadian music not only as entertainment, but also as a platform for dialogue, unity and positive social change.
