Abidjan Art Fair 2026 Puts Côte d’Ivoire’s Contemporary Artists in the Spotlight
ABIDJAN, Côte d’Ivoire — Côte d’Ivoire’s contemporary arts sector is preparing for a major event as the sixth edition of Abidjan Art Fair takes place on August 14 and 15 at the Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire.
Held under the theme “Art for All,” the event is expected to bring together established artists, emerging creative talents, art professionals and the wider public. The program includes exhibitions, practical workshops, panel discussions, artistic demonstrations and a gala with honorary awards.
The fair is designed to make contemporary art more accessible while creating new opportunities for Ivorian and international artists. A live jazz performance is also planned as part of the two-day program.
The event comes as Abidjan continues to strengthen its reputation as a regional centre for contemporary African creativity. Recent exhibitions in the city have also showcased artists from across Africa and explored themes including social change, identity and childhood.
For Côte d’Ivoire’s creative economy, Abidjan Art Fair offers an important platform for artists to reach new audiences, collectors and cultural institutions.
